    Ok did search the forum but with so many hitch questions hard to get a striking on this one.

    For guys that utilize the round bar chain mode wdh with minor ball mounted friction restriction, how you lot likly them? Simply towed one trip with one and aside from admittingly long setup time i like the adjustability. Simply why do people claim you lot cam support with the sway control on, i certain did with no issues. Honestly confused here.

    2d the jump bar hard mount style with trunnion confined. If you increase or change the weight of what you bring practise you have to readjust the hole setup. Do they really work. I similar with the friction restriction of 1st style you can merely tighten it down if its an extra windy day.

    Some smart people hither so looking forward to the replies =)

    Did read on the anderson alot. Seam good for tacoma sized trailers. But zero adaptability. Also going to say mixxed reviews from my reseach. People dearest or detest them. No its ok lol
  4. I saw someone at a gas station that said his was worthless. Yous could motility the chains past hand, he ran it loose and expected information technology to work.

  6. I like Fastway E2. Google "best WDH". There's some good write ups out there. So reach out to the techs at Etrailer.com. I've dealt with them for years. Always has been great client service.

  7. I use Anderson and am very happy with it. It is also adjustable. I do not take with other WDH.

    Fastway E2 Trunion 600/6000. Works great, built in anti-sway that you can contrary without removing.

    "contrary without removing" Thats the bit i dont go. Included an Amazon link of spring bar with friction break. (not ane im looking to buy, just the fashion). The sway control it uses people say you lot deceit back up.. yous can. Only not at a crazy sharp angle. Granted only used this style or any manner ane long weekend trip but i backed up into multiple spots with no issues. Ironically the just fourth dimension I noticed anything wrong was when backing upwardly and the trailer went Upwards HILL a steep hill. Compressed the springs on the hitch and that force really made the truck resist moving. Existence half intelligent (the lesser half) or lucky I decided Non to push it. Didnt put together what happened till like a week later..

    Basically round bar style I similar that you can alter the leap force easily by using more or less concatenation links. This would allow y'all to account for different weights in the trailer. Yous cant do this with the fastway e2

    Merely. In writing this i realized for the FastWay E2, information technology dont matter. Once the unit is correctly installed the bar position and angle on the "subclass" wont change much. At least non with the difference of ii-300 pounds. So you like information technology? lol

    I run Fastway E2 (now there'southward E4) and Equal-I-zer make hitches. My blaster brand hitch pretty much wore out after fifteen years of abuse. I could accept rebuilt it, merely already had the Fastway.

    You can opposite a piddling with very slight turning. When I first started towing many moons ago, I had a LDH with the chains. I caused some damage to my trailer and broke a chain. I will say this...you don't desire to be anywhere near these bars nether load if something lets go.

    I have the EAZ Lift. Dealer installed when I picked up my NoBo. We discussed the Anderson and they said it was overpriced.
    I have to do a xc degree dorsum up to put my trailer into my driveway from the street. No issues with this hitch.
    Only complaint is the squeakiness of the antisway bar when you are turning corners.
    Once the brawl is attached, I can set this hitch in less than 3 minutes. The weight distribution bars go on and off very efficiently with a 110 degree turn of the bar.
    For the price, I don't recall you can go incorrect.

    And so later on the above and other enquiry, I honestly Still cant decide. But every bit its at best xx weeks till the trailer i purchased is complete. I guess that is ok.

    I do have a follow up question even so.

    I am Buying An apex Nano 193bh. Mill lists 370 lb, toung weight which nosotros know is a lie. Another forum a poster measured his loaded to become at 613! I dont Believe I volition load then heavy but would a 600/6000 hitch work? next footstep up is 10,000. Seams like a big jump.

    After being rear ended twice i besides put on a after market bumper which ads 85lbs to my tail. From what i am reading this weight would be consider an add to the trailer toung weight which then reinforces the argument to go oversized.

    Merely looking for confirmation i believe i demand to go to the oversized hitch.

    The bumper would non be considered part of the tongue weight but would exist needed for computing the GVWR.
    I purchased this on ebay to measure the natural language weight. Its cheap and hopefully fairly accurate. Yous can read about my calculations on my thread regarding my NoBo nineteen.vi

    No complaints from me utilizing the Equal-i-zer 600/6000 setup with my GeoPro trailer. Easy to setup and no issues towing or reversing. Pricey only worth the investment.

    Thanks for proverb the size you have! nearly dont and I observe it helpful. As far as the Bumper I was referring to the bumper on the truck. It is 115lb of steel. E trailer confirmed via email today that its added weight would be considered cargo behind the rear truck axle therefor its weight is added to the strain on the WDH. That plus trailer i ordered is a fleck larger ways i should probably go with the 1k/10k hitch. Just annoying its a 600 to 1k jump.

    Apex nano 293bh is 370 lb factory tongue weight but add stuff, ii lp tanks and bombardment i can run into it go north of 500-550 quick.

    I hear yous. My trailer has ~360lb tongue weight. I have 2 lp tanks and will presently be converting the batteries to lithium and moving them off the tongue and within the trailer. That being said - with ~525 on the tongue and an additional x gallons of water and 10 gallons of gas along with a honda generator in the bed the rig handled fine at 60-70mph and towed hands in the mountains here in Utah.

    ok... trailer tongue wight going to exist about 550. with added heavy ass Bumper (115 lbs) do i really need to go with the oversized hitch. ETrailer telling me to go with the 1k. Merely seams like a huge stride..

    if i put some stuff in the bed, what is the hitch arms going to blow?

    Dont know if I'thou over complicating this merely dealer wats to sell me a 600. Etrailer saud I need 1000 due to my bumper. But if I had a bigger truck with heavier rear end so smaller hitch ok??? Makes no sense

  20. My logic meter tells me you only need a weight rating for the trailer tongue. No matter what your bumper weighs, information technology'due south non office of the WD equation.
